Every year, Day of Caring mobilizes the caring power of people in our community through volunteerism to help local nonprofits complete wish list projects. Whether you are planting new flower beds at the park, sorting donated items at a shelter, or reading to kids at a childcare agency, there is something for everyone to feel good about doing on this day! 

Participation in the Day of Caring provides an opportunity for building relationships among company employees while introducing them to United Way’s impact and importance in the community. The volunteers get to see first-hand how funds donated to the United Way as part of the annual workplace campaign are utilized. 

We will start recruiting volunteers for our Southern Region annual Day of Caring events and would love to have you (and your friends/colleagues!) join us this year! Please contact Aimee at aimee.kereage@graniteuw.org if you are interested in volunteering.

Shifts are available from 9am – 12pm, 1pm – 4pm or all day (9am – 4pm). 

Teams can range in size from one to 10. Each team member will receive their very own LIVE UNITED t-shirt. 
Day of Caring will take place rain or shine, as most projects can still be completed regardless of weather conditions.

Day of Caring is a great way to promote the spirit and value of volunteerism, increase awareness of local human service programming and demonstrate what people working together for the common good can accomplish. This day is a perfect example of how we can all LIVE UNITED!

Southern Region Day of Caring & Campaign Kickoff

Join us for our Annual Day of Caring and Campaign  Kick-Off  Event at for some food provided by Panera Bread, music, and raffles before you head out to your volunteer project!
