How To Apply

Interested agencies must first register for access to Granite United Way’s funding portal once per fiscal year (July 1st through June 30th).
Once you have registered you will receive an email with your login credentials to access all the funding opportunities available through Granite United Way. You will continue to receive ongoing email communications for upcoming and new grant opportunities.

Community Response Grants
Granite United Way’s Community Response Grants are open to any certified 501(c)(3) organization or those with a fiscal sponsor serving communities across Granite United Way’s seven regions.

Our responsive grantmaking model supports nonprofits addressing immediate and urgent community needs through direct services and rapid-response efforts. Multiple funding cycles each year allow us to quickly direct resources where they are needed most.

This grant program awards responsive funding ranging from $1,000–$10,000 per cycle to sustain critical programs during times of uncertainty.

The Opioid Abatement Community Grants Program is open to nonprofit organizations, municipalities, school districts, and other eligible entities serving New Hampshire communities.

Administered by Granite United Way on behalf of the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and the Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission, this program offers short-term responsive grants (up to $15,000 for timely projects) and multiyear project grants up to $75,000 per year for sustained efforts.

Funding supports community-based efforts that prevent, reduce, and address the harms of the opioid crisis.

Mary Gale Foundation grants are open to nonprofit organizations providing housing, health, and in-home services for low-income women age 65 and older living in the Greater Manchester area.

Through a three-year partnership with Granite United Way, the Foundation invests in programs that honor its mission to support elderly, indigent women by addressing housing instability, isolation, and health challenges in the City of Manchester and surrounding communities. Funding prioritizes direct services and projects that deliver essential care, transportation, and community connections for women living at or below poverty standards.

Yes, agencies can apply in every grant cycle regardless of previous funding decisions.
